Two nights ago we were in Realfoot Lake State Park in Tennessee. So far it was the only park that we could have done without. It was a long convoluted drive to get to and not one of our favorites. It had the feel of a county park but with state park prices, and it was mostly locals there celebrating the 4th of July weekend.

There was, however, time for some artful photography.

Now we are further along in a surprisingly nice state park in Kentucky. It reminds me of the 70’s when my ex and I did so much camping. The parks were mostly empty except on the weekends. Just how we like it.

Glad you’re outta there and back on the road. Happy trails!
How are you paying the state park entrance fees and the camping fees? You are not buying a yearly pass, right? You must be paying a daily rate?
