Just Us and the Cleaning Staff

Boston Logan International Airport

2025-09-15

We got a hotel last night when we missed our 11:35 pm flight to Dublin. We did get a hotel and they were good enough to let us stay until 1:30 pm and then transport us to the Boston Airport. Our plane leaves at 11:35 pm so a wait time is about 12 hours is what we have.

It’s 8:30 pm, And it is just us and the cleaning staff. Hopefully more people will show up as departure time approach’s?

Next post should be from Ireland 🇮🇪 where I promise more artfully done photo.

Getting Ready for Ireland

2025-09-06

Pipe Creek, TX

Kim and I leave for Ireland in just one short week, so we have been slowly, and I do mean slowly, packing for our trip.

I presented a video on slow travel to my photography group. I presented it in person. This was my practice video, but I thought that it turned out well enough to publish on YouTube.

Here is a link to it so you can see just how well versed we are in the slow travel mode.

To Maine and back in 151 days One very slow photographers journey.

On My Way Home….One Day Early!

Tomorrow, which was to be my departure, is expecting an additional 6”-12” of snow, so I decided to come home a day early. Unfortunately, I am flying through Detroit, which has it own snow problem With luck I will thread the needle of disasters. Winter storm warning is in effect for 7pm, and I am set to fly out at 6.

Leslianna is prepared and waiting for the storm to hit.
Some of the roads haven’t even been cleared up from the last storm.
We did get her tub plumbed and ready for use.
Some trim and finishing touches
Full moon saying a good bye

Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

We are probably ups to 10 inches of snow just this week, and from all indications it is not done yet.

We have had many great walks Some of them even along the ocean where it is especially magical.

It really doesn’t get much better than this.

However, I do have to remember that I am here to help Leslianna finish her house.

Here we are making a door out of scrap lumber. .

But there is still a lot of time to be had just going out for winter walks.

What would normally be crowded, we now have all to ourselves.

Beauty can be found in the simplest of things.

I do, however, wish that it was just a little bit warmer, but I think that I can put up with another week of this? After all it is 80 in Texas!

This morning it was -4 degrees.
