The Sea was Angry My Friends

On our way home

2025-10-07

The last few days of our trip a huge storm came in and brought 50-60 mph winds and big time rain. It didn’t spoil anything for us, except maybe I was promising myself that I would brave a swim n the frigid water.

The sea was angry

For our last few days we moved on to Cork which is a lovely town with two river running through it.

There were so many highlights to our visit but one of our favorites was a walk to, and through the Cork City Goal, a 19th century prison.

Here is an artists representation of a child punished for picking fruit without permission.

Looks comfy, eh?

Later that evening we had an elegant meal with Paige as our final hurrah before heading off to Dublin to catch our flight.

And now we are on our way home. All I have is a hat from Dingle and a lot of really beautiful memories, but isn’t that what life is all about anyway?
